Our Founder

Elena Raparelli, born April 2, 1893 in Grottaferrata and died February 26, 1970 in Mezzojuso, was an Italian Catholic nun. In religion, Mother Macrina, she is the foundress of the Basilian sisters, Daughters of Saint Macrina. She aims to promote the unity of Christians. She is recognized as venerable by the Catholic Church.
